Our annual fundraiser is less than two weeks away! This fun event for a great cause wouldn’t be possible without the contributions of our sponsors and event contributors, and we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge these wonderful organizations and individuals. From the menu and prizes, to the venue and promotions, their gifts are helping ensure that DayBreak’s benefit on May 19th will be a success so that we can continue and expand our network’s assistance to local families in meeting the challenges of aging with better health and more joy.

Meaning in Every Moment
Showcasing his humorous, heartwarming, and witty insights will be Josh Kornbluth. With his thought-provoking commentary and comedic talents, you’re bound to laugh, and maybe tear up too. “How do we make each day of life better? How do we give even the most frail and elderly the most agency they can have?” he asked in an Oakland Tribune feature about his recent visit to Alzheimer’s Services of the East Bay (ASEB), a DayBreak member agency, during their Time Slips storytelling program.
“It’s exciting to see all of the elements of this special event come together — the raffle, silent auction, exquisite menu, and event programming. We’re so appreciative of these gifts from our sponsors, contributors, and headliner,” says Anne Warner-Reitz, DayBreak’s Executive Director. “When you meet these generous folks at the event on the 19th, please join us in thanking them for their support.”

The theme this year is “Meaning in Every Moment,” and the reception offers an opportunity to meet and mingle with caring people, and be inspired, moved, and entertained. Every organization and person who participates in this fundraiser is helping us to increase awareness, availability, and quality of adult care centers in Alameda County.
