Educational Series on Elder Care – Oakland

AgeSong in Oakland (3121 Fruitvale Ave.) is hosting a series of educational classes on topics related to caring for elders. Upcoming topics: Hospice, Caring for a loved one with Dementia, and Proper Foot Care.

All presentations are an hour long, and free to attend.

ReCARES – Recycled Medical Equipment

ReCARES is an organization that “…collect and redistribute donations of clean, gently used medical equipment and unused home health care supplies each week. These are provided free of charge to those in need who visit our sites.”

Safe Streets Workshop in Oakland – Free

This weekend, UC Berkeley SafeTREC and California Walks will provide Oakland with a free 4-hour training aimed at building community education and capacity to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety in the community.

Lunch, childcare, English to Spanish interpretation, and English to Chinese interpretation will be available.
